• Climate: The region experiences a humid tropical climate. It receives significant rainfall from both the Southwest (Edavappathi) and Northeast (Thulavarsham) monsoons.
• Soil and Agriculture: Fertile laterite soil and alluvial soil are the predominant soil types. Rubber is the primary cash crop. Additionally, coconut, arecanut, black pepper, paddy, and various types of tubers are widely cultivated.
